Great news! iFAST Global Bank's Worldwide Scan & Pay service continues to expand and now supports payments in China, making your cross-border spending experience even more convenient, secure, and contactless.
🌟 Pay Across China with Ease
Worldwide Scan & Pay is a QR payment feature available to all iFAST Global Bank customers. There is no need for a physical bank card — simply scan a merchant QR code using the iFAST Global Bank app, confirm the payment details, and complete your transaction within seconds.
Whether you're shopping, dining out, travelling, or making everyday purchases, you can enjoy seamless payments directly from your mobile phone.
Worldwide Scan & Pay is now available across more than 220 markets and continues to expand its payment network. With China now supported, customers can conveniently make QR code payments while travelling or spending within China.
Even if you do not hold an iFAST Global Bank Multi-Currency Debit Card (currently available only to UK residents), you can still use Worldwide Scan & Pay directly through the app. Payments are deducted directly from your Multi-Currency Current Account, providing a secure and hassle-free payment experience.

Cross-Currency Payment Examples
Scan & Pay enables you to pay in the merchant's local currency. The required amount will be automatically converted using the available balance in your account and deducted in the selected funding currency. For example:
- Shopping in Hong Kong: Pay in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD) using your US Dollar (USD) balance.
- Shopping in Malaysia: Pay in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) using your British Pound (GBP) balance.
- Shopping in Germany: Pay in Euro (EUR) using your Singapore Dollar (SGD) balance.
Please note: Payments in the same currency are currently not supported. For example, paying in HKD at a Hong Kong merchant using your HKD balance is not available at this time.

Worldwide Scan & Pay is now available in Mainland China, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Laos, the Maldives, South Korea, Hong Kong SAR, Australia, New Zealand, the European Economic Area (30 member states), Switzerland, San Marino, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Mauritius, Armenia, the United States, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Thailand, Kazakhstan and Mongolia.
Japan, Vietnam, Bangladesh and Pakistan are not included in the initial launch. We are actively working to expand support to additional markets.
Please note: QR code payments are currently not available within the United Kingdom.
