Women in Finance Charter

INSTILLING DIVERSITY & INCLUSIVITY

Diversity is at the heart of IFAST Global Bank. We believe we should celebrate our differences to come together and strive for a common goal, its not our differences that divide us but bring us together to make us stronger, innovative and a more dynamic place of work.

What we look like to date:

In 2018 we signed the Women in Finance Charter. This is a voluntary commitment by the HM Treasury and signatory firms to make financial services a more gender balanced industry. We set ourselves a target of 35% at that point and when we finished there were 39% of women in Senior roles.

In 2019 we set ourselves a modest target of 30% target due to business disruptions, which we achieved shortly after.

However due to unforeseen circumstances and the pandemic we failed to achieve the diversity target and were achieving only 20% in 2020 and 2021. But at IFAST Global Bank we like to push ourselves further and challenge the status quo, so we have increased this goal to 30% by the end of 2024 and further hope to increase to 40% by 2025 to get ourselves back on track again and we are confident that we will achieve this.

As a fresh start in order to achieve this target we are reviewing:

Diversity initiatives
  • We are actively recruiting female candidates into senior management positions
  • Encouraging Annual Networking Events for female colleagues
  • Executive mentoring/development scheme for Manager Level and Director Level colleagues
  • Mentoring scheme for women returning from maternity leave e.g. those identified as key talent.
Review of family friendly policies to help attract/retain female talent
  • Enhanced maternity pay for all female colleagues in line with the Market
  • Flexible working - positively encourage the following flexible working patterns where possible:
  • Part time working
  • Variable hours
  • Flexitime
  • Job sharing
  • Homeworking
